Introducing BLITZ
OUR NON-STUDENT TEAM
Blitz is our newest team made up of past RU and Briercrest students. Our hope for Blitz is to be able to get into schools and promote our other team's shows in the local area. In our
brand-new Blitz Team’s first show “Restart,” the dark side of our
technology-saturated culture is addressed. By posing relevant questions (“How
much is too much?”, etc.), we seek to invite viewers to look at their own lives
and ask themselves some thoughtful questions about how they use technology.
Although technology is an amazing tool we all can make use of in our daily
lives, we also have noticed an alarming trend of teens making technology a
substitute for reality. We’re not calling for people to throw out all of their
devices, but rather we are hoping for families to unite, our society to become
less distracted, and for people to have more fulfilling and genuine relationships
with one another. We hope that our show will encourage youth and adults alike
to engage real life, have fun with people face-to-face, and enjoy the world
around them - instead of retreating into another world to find meaning and life
there.
