“This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’” Zechariah 13:9
Our desire is that God would refine us through His refining fires, making us pure and more like His son, Jesus Christ. Through the trials of life we want to learn to depend on Him no matter what.
“David wearing a linen ephod, danced before the Lord with all his might, while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets... As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart...When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!” David said to Michal, ‘It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel–I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.' ” II Samuel 6:14,21,22
There are many things that draw us to become something we were not created to be, but our desire for our team is that God would be #1 in their lives and that each one of our team members would be willing to look like a fool for their King because He is the one who created us and His opinion of us is the only one that holds any importance.
